The security Department of Renaissance University provides 24 hours services to protect lives and properties in the University. The security operatives are well equipped and kitted. The department has modern security communication gadgets that foster communication in terms of the alertness of the operatives.
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Periodical Training: The department sends its operatives to go for National and International Training to gain experience in Modern Security Networking.
REFRESHER TRAINING
Every first and last Saturday of every month the security operatives undergo physical training to keep fit while every Mondays is earmarked for parade and changing over duty.
SECURITY CHECK POINT
With the aid of metal dictator, visitors are checked to detect possession of dangerous weapon.
VISITORS INFLOW CONTROL
Regarding visitors inflow control upon arrival, a provision is made for visitors for booked in their names, contact addresses, phone numbers, purpose of visit, whom to see, register in their car number incase of any eventuality. Having done the necessary entry, a tag is given for easy identification and further directives.
VISITORS OUT FLOW CONTROL
Visitors are allowed for a period of hours on Mondays to Fridays. At visitors ‘exit, cars, individual are searched to make sure the university properties are not vandalize thereafter, they are ask to sign-out where they booked in.
STUDENTS’ OUTFLOW CONTROL
Students are not permitted to go outside except on the following condition:
- On medical grounds with approval from student Affairs Officer
- To go home for weekends with approval from Student Affair Officer
- To go out for any SUG official assignment with approval from school management.
- Students’ Exit from must be fill he sudent and approval for proper documentation which contain details of where to go,whom to visit,reason of the visit,time-out and time-in date incase of any emergenency.
- To answer parents call while the exit form must be filled and approved.
STUDENTS’ INFLOW CONTROL
Students are expected to come back to campus ON or BEFORE stipulated time approved by university management. Any student, who fails to adhere strictly to rules and regulations, will be reported for proper action to be taken as the case may be.
SECURITY DETENSION (GUARD) ROOM
Security operatives may detain any person(s) who is found wanting. Visitor, staff or a student may be detain if found wanting or otherwise for investigation to be carried out for proper sanctioning.
SECURITY LINKAGES OFFICE
There is a link between Renaissance University Security, neighbouring university security, Nigerian Air force and Nigerian Police Force. This also create an avenue were both the university security and the law Enforcement Agencies have a joint petrol for crime detection/prevention.
